Seems as if with everything that is happening in this country, this world, we are losing. Losing the battles for OUR countries, the battles against, in this country, an elusive oppression, Losing the battles for a unified voice of peace. We are, on a global level, losing our war for Humanity. It is in our generation that this war will see its end...but without hope we are nowhere, without our own voice we are nothing, all will be lost and Orwellian truths emerge in times when the governed are at their weakest...when those with power have no choice but to use it, use it they shall but always for their benefit. People can be weak but ideas are the burning sun.
Yes, this is a rant and yes I'm probably being cliché and have probably seen one too many movies. However, this doesn't change the fact that no matter where on this beautiful earth you look to you will find a struggle, a struggle that you may not fully understand but know deep inside you that it is a struggle for hope, for peace, for the right of existing and for the right of this very breath. A struggle we are all a part of universally, as human beings, as advocates of the freedoms we so candidly enjoy.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - Edmund Burke
